Sue Bird

sue birdSue Bird was born on October 16, 1980 in Long Island, New York, USA. She is the youngest of two kids to Herschel and Nancy Bird. Sue is a famous basketball player.

Biography and Career:

Her early career started when she was determined to sign up at a basketball powerhouse Christ The King Regional High School in Queens. Her squad won the New York state championship, and the nationwide designation.

In her college life she won the Wade Trophy and Naismith Award as College Player of the Year. She completed her UConn career on many of the record lists. Bird was the inaugural winner of the Nancy Lieberman Award in 2000, given to the top point guard in the state, and won the award in 2001 and 2002.

She has won two National Championships, three Big East Championships and Big East regular period titles. Sue’s team won two gold medals in Olympic sport in 2000 and 2008. Bird was called to the USA Basketball Women’s National Team preparation camp in 2009. And the team selected to participate for the 2010 FIBA World Championship and the 2012 Olympics is typically selected from these participants.
